NINA DOEVENDANS

EN_ As an audiovisual artist and harpist, my work exists at the intersection of performance and digital space. I am fascinated by how atmosphere can be constructed: whether through the physical resonance of the (electric) harp or the immersive quality of light and motion in an installation.

While my musical performances focus on the power of strings, my visual work dives into abstract structures and digital environments. My practice is a constant exploration of these two worlds: sometimes they intertwine in a live setting, and at other times they stand alone as independent sensory experiences.

NL_ Als audiovisueel kunstenaar en harpist bevindt mijn werk zich op het snijvlak van live-performance en digitale ruimte. Ik ben gefascineerd door hoe sfeer kan worden opgebouwd: zowel door de fysieke resonantie van de (elektrische) harp als door de meeslepende kwaliteit van licht en beweging in een installatie.

Waar mijn muzikale performances zich richten op de kracht van snaren, duikt mijn beeldende werk in abstracte structuren en digitale omgevingen. Mijn praktijk is een constante verkenning van deze twee werelden: soms vloeien ze samen in een live setting, en op andere momenten staan ze op zichzelf als onafhankelijke zintuiglijke ervaringen.
