EN_Echoes of a Forest is a meditative exploration of the boundary between observation, memory, and abstraction. The work focuses on minuscule forest plants and flowers: unobtrusive details within a larger whole that a passerby would normally overlook.
Over the course of a 30-minute seamless loop, the images undergo an extremely slow metamorphosis: from sharp macro details to radial, blurred abstractions. This visual transformation takes place at a pace that eludes immediate human perception. A casual observer sees a still image; those who take the time to look closely discover a constant mutation.
The work balances between the reality of the moment and the visual traces of what was just there. It is an echo of time that invites us to slow down in an overstimulated world.
NL_Echoes of a Forest is een meditatieve studie naar de grens tussen observatie, herinnering en abstractie. Het werk richt de blik op minuscule bosplanten en bloemen, onopvallende details in een groter geheel waar een voorbijganger normaal gesproken aan voorbij gaat.
Gedurende een 30 minuten durende naadloze loop ondergaan de beelden een uiterst trage metamorfose: van scherpe macro-details naar radiale, vervaagde abstracties. Deze visuele transformatie vindt plaats op een tempo dat ontsnapt aan de directe menselijke waarneming. Wie vluchtig kijkt, ziet een stilstaand beeld; wie de tijd neemt, ontdekt een constante mutatie.
Het werk balanceert tussen de realiteit van het moment en de visuele sporen van wat zojuist was. Het is een echo van de tijd die uitnodigt tot vertraging in een overprikkelde wereld.
