EN_ BLUE is an audiovisual installation designed as a moment of escapism in a world saturated with stimuli. The work invites the viewer to momentarily freeze the surrounding chaos and return to a state of presence. It offers a chance to pause and breathe before stepping back into the rush of daily life.
The installation features a 2-minute and 56-second video loop presented on a 50-inch 4K display. The accompanying soundscape is experienced through headphones, creating an intimate, secluded space within a public environment.
BLUE has been exhibited at the ‘Ongezien’ expo at Bank Delen in Antwerp (opening during Museum Night), at Thomas More’s National Campus, and in the reception area of Vertigo Creative Studio.
NL_ BLUE is een audiovisuele installatie die fungeert als een moment van escapisme in een wereld vol prikkels. Het werk nodigt de toeschouwer uit om de drukte van alledag tijdelijk te bevriezen en terug te keren naar een staat van aanwezigheid in het nu. Het is een uitnodiging om op adem te komen alvorens de dynamiek van de buitenwereld weer op te zoeken.
De installatie bestaat uit een video-loop van 2 minuten en 56 seconden, vertoond op een 50 inch 4K-scherm. De begeleidende soundscape wordt beluisterd via hoofdtelefoons, waardoor er een intieme, afgeschermde ervaring ontstaat binnen de publieke ruimte.
BLUE werd onder andere geëxposeerd tijdens de expo ‘Ongezien’ bij Bank Delen in Antwerpen (geopend tijdens Museumnacht), op de National Campus van Thomas More en in de ontvangstruimte van Vertigo Creative Studio.
